Wow, sorry people but my new forum is maniacmuslim.com, but I saw this topic and had to comment from personal experiance. I'm going to post what I said in that forum: Me: "Just so you guys know....don't date. Why? Because it is a game. Let me explain a little something something. This is not thought out and will sound like a rant. I was raised by women in my life and I have observed them outside my home. I know how they think. I will show you why dating is a game: Some rules of dating Okay, now lets say you want a girlfriend right? You want to go out with a girl you know. First rule is: You cannot always be good to a girl. 2nd: You can't spill your heart out to a girl, and let her too much about you. And why is this? Because women won't go after men if the man gives them everything. If you give a woman a taste of how you are, and they are intrested, they will come to you, but if you do everything for her, she won't care and will be unintrested. She'll look at you as a friend. Its kinda like when people are kids. You want a toy you played at your friends house or saw in the mall so bad. Now your parents decide to get you that toy and you play with it, and leave it in a week. Why? Because your sick of it, you know everything about it. That urge to know more or to get more is gone because you played it out. This is where dating goes wrong, because dating is just like this, except with HUMANS. Thats why you'll see some girl with an abusive boyfriend, and she won't leave him, and if shes confronted with someone better, she won't care or will treat them as a friend. Dating is a game, and there is a certain way to play this game. This game will hurt your mind because you won't know when its lust or when its serious. Its hurts you, or it will hurt her. As young men, we don't need this drama. Find a good girl when you get older to marry, and treat her well. Dating is exciting because its a game you play with your heart, marriage is boring because your not playing. Now when your married, there is no game. You have to deal with your spouse, the good and the bad. Everything is out and the open. There is no hiding things, there is no way to play it so it you can still be in it, because marriage is not a game. Just make sure to do something knew to keep everyone happy. And make sure when you are looking for a women, don't be an idiot, don't think of sex when your doing it. Because if you are thinking of sex, and you get married, once you fulfill that sexual need, you won't care anymore. I'll organize my thoughts later, and say it in an easier to understand format, I can explain things easier by mouth then by typing. If there is anything you want to ask about women, I'll answer it. You are playing with what should not be played, don't date, no excuses" |

Well I'm no longer a shi'a muslim but I still use some of their ideas and practices, and while I am not a sunni muslim I also like some of their stuff. But the thing is: I wuddu and pray like a shi'a and I don't know which prayer is better. I have heard a story once about Moses (pbuh) getting pissed off at a man for praying incorrectly and God told him to leave the man alone and let people pray however they want to. Advice? Suggestions? Whats better? How to do stuff? |

QUOTE(RedInk @ Mar 30 2006, 06:22 PM) ...Although I was subjected to the torture that is the U.S. Public School system, I know what the word means ...You don't agree with a transcendentalist person and their belief, so you dislike/hate them? ...You're going to end up hating/disliking a lot things in this world, because there are a lot of things you're going to disagree with ...Oh and what is it that you don't agree with anyways?... Well I don't hate them, I just was ranting. Its just trancendentalism effects society so much these days and it pisses me off. Not to the point of bothering anything important but still. Anyone know what I mean? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transcendentalist Transcendentalism is kinda of a religon in which the people do whatever their urges take them. |

Like for example, I have a beard. What I'm saying is, since the Sunnah can be corrupted you have to go with your gut or compare it with the quran. |

QUOTE(FrOzEnSuNsEt @ Mar 13 2006, 04:00 PM) Assalaamu'alaykum my dear brothers n sisters...pray u all doin alright n that....but yeh ok peep....i came accross some one who said he only follows the qur'an but not the hadith...and i asked how this was...here's wut he replied to me...please take the time to read and and let me know how i can begin to respond....im in need of those gems...so drop um peeps...: In regards to your question about my not following "hadith" it is best that I start from the Source (Al Quran). With this in mind, let's study the following Ayats: (45:6;12:111;31:6;17:77). It is from these Ayats that I derive the Truth (as Allah has Blessed me in understanding at this point - MashaAllah). We, as Muslims, are instructed to follow Quran for It "was sent to verify that which was sent before (the Revealed Scriptures of ALL the prophets of Allah Subhananu wa t'Allah - Peace be Upon Them All). The Quran was sent "to VERIFY THAT WHICH WAS SENT BEFORE", meaning It "rights" the innovations and falsities of the previous Scriptures. Also, we must take note of the Quranic Ayat warning us of dividing our religion into "sects" and "schismatics". Our God is One. Our religion is One. And if we look at the history of our Ummah, the cause of our divisions within Islam (sunni, Shia, Ismaeli, Sufi, Wahabi, etc.) is due to the political ramifications surrounding "hadith". The Quran states that it "is a book fully detailed", meaning nothing was left out. If we claim with our lips that Allah Knows Best, we must accept His Words and Instruction. Now, one may say that The Quran also states that we must follow The Prophet Muhammad, and hadith gives us the example of how to do so. I say thus: if The Quran was given to Muhammed as an example for all of mankind, and Muhammad was ordered to both recite and follow The Quran, and The quran is complete within itself, by following The Quran we ARE following the Sunnah of Muhammad (PBUH)! You cannot separate the two. Muhammad himself NEVER left any other writings or teachings, and he NEVER attributed his knowledge to Himself. La Illaha Illalah! No other "books" or "hadith" is necessary. Now, don't get me wrong, as long as hadith IS IN ACCORDANCE with The Quran, it's cool - but if that's the case, why not go to The Source in first place? That in itself nullifies the "need" for hadith. Go to The Source. Allah Knows Best. Creation can only emulate what has been revealed - so we don't look to the Created for answers - we find our answers seeking Allah! The Quran is the compass. Scholars are not Prophets. I am not saying that learned men/women are not necessary - The Quran instructs us to take counsel from those among us who possess knowledge. It is wise. But with that statement I must add: The Quran is The Source of Knowledge. So those that have knowledge must be rooted in Al Quran! Everything is outlined. Did not Allah challenge mankind and jinn to "create even one Ayat" - which He sates we could never do. Allah said that He placed no hardship on us in regards to our religion. He also states The Quran is "a simple Book". There is no need for embellishments or supplemental information. That is saying that Allah is insufficient (Astaful-Allah!). In The Quran I find Peace. I Believe in the completeness of Al Quran. When I took calculus in college, I STUDIED with my fellow students (man, woman & child), yet I FOLLOWED the instruction of my teacher (Muhammad) in oreder to pass the test (Judgement). so that was his reply to me.....let me know ur thoughts guys.. Oh God I've been thinking the same thing for the last 3 weeks so here is what I think so far, here me out: Bismillah Rahman Rahim "Anyone who disobeys God and His messenger will abide in the fire of hell forever." (72:23) NOW PEOPLE HAVE TO REALIZE THAT INFORMATION WHICH IS NOT THE QURAN GETS CHANGED OVER TIME. IT IS INEVITABLE. THERE FORE YOU HAVE TO FIGURE OUT WHETHER OR NOT A CERTAIN PART OF THE SUNNAH IS PART OF THE QURAN OR NOT. HOW? mUHHAMAD (PBUH) FOLLOWED ONLY THE QURAN RIGHT? It even says in the quran: Bismillah Rahman Raheem 112. We have permitted the enemies of every prophet, human and Jinn devils, to inspire in each other with fancy words in order to deceive. Had your Lord willed, they would not have done it. You shall disregard them and their fabrications. So fabrications will exist but Muhhamad (pbuh) followed the Quran and god, made nothing up himself: "This (Quran) is the utterance of an honorable messenger. It is not the utterance of a poet; rarely do you believe. Nor is it the utterance of a soothsayer; rarely do you take heed. A revelation from the Lord of the universe. HAD HE EVER UTTERED ANY OTHER RELIGIOUS UTTERANCES (attributed to us), we would have punished him severely, then we would have stopped the revelation to him (fired him). None of you could have protected him against us." (69:40-47) "They almost diverted you (O Muhammad) from our revelations to you; they wanted you to fabricate something else to consider you a friend. If it were not that we strengthened you, you almost leaned towards them a little bit. Had you done it, we would have doubled the punishment for you in this life, and after death; no one could have protected you against us." (17:73-75) And the last thing I will say is: If you follow the Quran, won't you be following the prophet (as) |
